Some people want to go unnoticed be conservative in their clothing options, this helps them blend in. While others want to make a statement by wearing items that speaks to their personality. Strideline created a sock company that allows the consumer to express themselves by supporting their favorite city, teams or players on their socks.
With $700 and a dream, Riley Goodman and Jake Director, started Strideline their senior year in high school. The idea was to create socks with city skylines as the design and target lacrosse players. The idea worked and the results were astonishing, the two were able to sell out their first shipment in just three weeks. The friends knew they were on to something and few years later with its success, Strideline is available in more than 30 stores nationwide.
Now, you wouldn’t put on a pair of Strideline socks to attend a board meeting, but when you are heading to the gym during lunch or after work, this would be the perfect time to sport them. The S Collection and City Socks are high quality athletic crew socks that are made for performance and durability. The mixture of polyesters and cotton blends together to create a sweat wicking technology that keeps your feet dry and create a snug fit.
On the foot the socks look great and feel just as good. The city skyline doesn’t stretch out to wide and the cushioning feels just right but there is a little tightness around the “strap” or ankle area. This is caused by Strideline’s patent strapped fit, however once in motion the tightness reverts to comfort. It feels like the sock adjust to the ankle it is supporting. One key feature that is a great selling point is the compression along the calf area. This compression allows the sock to stretch but maintain its fit and allows for maximum performance. Having a sock roll down on you while you are doing box jumps or about to windmill slam on the opponents point guard is embarrassing.
While Strideline has grabbed the attention of celebrities like Snoop Dog and Marshawn Lynch, to name a couple, you do not have to have “celebrity” money to afford a pair. Coming in at $14 average and can be found just about everywhere, getting a pair is easy. There is no doubt in mind, that Strideline will be around for years to come and quickly will put a lot of pressure on some of the other sock companies.
