CLASSIC CORTEZ KM QS "TRACK SPIKE"
Kenny Moore started his outstanding racing career under the tutelage of coach Bowerman. He logged over a thousand miles in Bowerman's prototypes, helping to lay the foundation for what would become the legendary Cortez. This special-edition style recalls an early prototype from the days that preceded the Swoosh. It sports details inspired by the hand-cobbled original, debossed branding on the heel and a signed sockliner printed with one of Bowerman's training regimens.
CLASSIC CORTEZ NYL KM "MARATHON RECORD"
On December 7th, 1969, Kenny Moore raced through the city streets of Fukuoka, Japan to break yet another record in his already brilliant career: the fastest marathon run by an American. This special-edition Cortez, constructed in OG nylon and suede, arrives decked out in the colors of that historic marathon. It sports Moore's record-setting race time debossed on the heel counter, plus a sockliner graphic inspired by the Japanese streets he made a blur.
CLASSIC CORTEZ KM QS "BROKEN FOOT"
In 1965, Bowerman protégé Kenny Moore broke his right foot while running in a pair of very blue shoes. Coach Bowerman, after promptly ripping them apart, began constructing a new racing model, one with superior cushioning and support. It was named Cortez. Now the color of Moore’s shoe returns, sporting premium suede, debossed heel branding and a sockliner printed with the X-ray of his fracture.
