Two Strangers come together to create a platform for all aspiring artists. Raaja Nemani was backpacking through Argentina and there he met Aaron Firestein. Raaja and Aaron became friends and before Raaja continued his backpacking journey, Aaron drew on a pair of blank sneakers to gift Raaja. From there the friends started BucketFeet!
What is BucketFeet?
BucketFeet is a startup that raised a tremendous amount of money to take an open platform for inspiring artist or anyone can submit a design. Their idea was to collaborate with artist, such as painters, graphic designers, graffiti writers, street artists, photographers, and so on from all around the world and give them opportunity to connect people to their art. The process is quite simple; the BucketFeet crew has an open call for artwork. Anyone can register and submit artwork here. Then an in-house committee selects the pieces that will be included in each Bucketfeet collection. From there, Bucketfeet manufactures then distributes the products throughout the world. Artists receive an upfront payment and a royalty fee for every item sold.
Each shoe designed by an artist or that is part of a collection is considered limited-edition. The collections range from artist driven work to major partnerships with industry leaders, such as Spoonflower. Spoonflower is the world's first web-based service for custom, on-demand fabric creation. With Spoonflower, anyone can design fabric, wallpaper and gift wrap that is custom-printed for gifts, home decor projects and small businesses. And who better to collaborate with Bucketfeet than a company like Spoonflower. With many other collections and designs available Bucketfeet is a mecca for designer or limited footwear.
Besides good looks and comfort, Bucketfeet is an opportunity for self-expression. With very affordable prices and a diverse selection of footwear, we can’t think of any particular reason not to give Bucketfeet a try.
