Being a bike enthusiast and avid rider this release caught my attention immediately. New York urban bike boutique Chari & Co. has collaborated with industry veteran, Japanese watchmaker Casio on a new G-SHOCK timepiece this winter season.
The collaborative watch is inspired by the three main components of a bicycle, forming a triangular geometric pattern in shades of black and olive, a motif previously used in Chari & Co racing apparel. The watch face features both digital and analog timekeeping along with a large front button at the 6 o’clock position for easy one-press stopwatch operation. The watch also boasts G-SHOCK's legendary Shock Resistance, as well as 200M Water Resistance, an LED Light, 48-city World Time, 5 Daily Alarms, a Retrograde 1/100th-second Stopwatch with Target Time Alert and Countdown Timer -- all inside a 48.9mm case.
Chari & Co. also made available a small selection of apparel to coincide with the design scheme and colorways of the G-SHOCK. Included in the set is a full one-piece racing suit, T-shirt, cap and sunglasses, all in matching olive/black with orange accents and Chari & Co. exclusive branding.
The Chari & Co x G-SHOCK GA500K watch releases this month, Thursday, February 9 at Chari's NYC store, G-SHOCK Shoho and online for $190.
