The "tease" is the beginning of something BIG... and Ronnie Fieg's Kith has had all social media outlets in a frenzy by teasing theith upcoming Coca-Cola collection. Lately, Coca-Cola has been part of some big collaboration efforts with streetwear brands and each project has come with massive success.
Kith is known for their extravagant releases and amazing attention to detail when it comes to its products, so we know this release will be just as good. By pulling inspiration from the archives of Coca-Cola, Kith delivers a contemporary assortment of apparel and accessories, which commemorates two recent milestones, the opening of Kith Miami and Kith Aspen.
Broken down into two parts, the first is centered around on the worldwide presence of Coca-Cola, via an array of styles featuring various international Coca-Cola logos, specifically Israel, Japan, Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand and the U.S. Pieces include denim jackets, pullover hoodies, tees, caps and pins. There's even a special co-branded Coca-Cola glass bottle that will be given to customers with any in-store purchase of the KITH x Coca-Cola collection. The Miami release is highlighted by a Coke Float Bar located in the KITH Treats section, rounding out the multidimensional collaborative experience.
The second half of the collaboration is incorporated into our Aspen initiative. Mirroring the cold climate of the beautiful mountain town, we brings Coke’s classic polar bear story to life through a capsule of sentimental lifestyle product. We’ve reimagined the time-honored Coke Polar Bear likeness through graphic hoodies, tees, beanies, and more. This will mark the first time the Coke Polar Bear has donned different clothing.
The Kith x Coca-Cola Collection releases in its entirety on Saturday, December 31. The first half of the collection will be available at all of Kith’s flagship stores and KithNYC.com. The second half will be available at the aforementioned locations, in addition to the Kith Aspen Pop-Up.
No matter what anyone says (unless they are an official Nike employee), no one knows what the secret release will be. All we know is be near your Nike+ App, Nike.com and Nike's twitter on Christmas Day, December 25th at a random time. Good luck!
Are you wondering, "who is this Nigel Sylvester guy and what is Go! 3 ?" Before we get in the Nike collaboration check out the "Go! 3" video below:
Nigel Sylvester is an American BMX rider He is sponsored by Nike, Gatorade, Animal Bikes, G-Shock, ethika and the latest is Beats By Dre. He has a signature bike seat called the Nigel Seat, oh lets not forget he even posed for ESPN "The Body". He rose to fame under the influence of Dave Mira and never looked back. But the one thing Nigel never did that other BMX riders seem to do is "Compete". Nigel used the internet and videos to become a rising star, he dares to be different and even though he has taken slack for it, it is all paying off. You can catch more of Nigel's video on his YouTube channel.
In the latest installment of GO! Nigel Sylvester took his antics to Tokyo, which brought amazing visuals of sumo wrestling and real-life Mario Karts, along with other feats. In conjunction with the release of the video (which can be seen above), Nigel teamed up with Nike for a limited run of bleached shirts for friends and family. Each shirt has a different die pattern to keep the uniqueness that Nigel stands for. Unfortunately, the tees are not currently for a public release, it is unsure whether they will see a full release next year.
Stay tuned to Common Crown as we get more updates on this limited Nigel Sylvester x Nike Go 3 Tee. You can check out more Nigel Sylvester images, videos and updates by following Nigel on twitter.
Lately we've notice some of the most recognizable streetwear brands are teaming up multiple times, with Coca-Cola to form apparel collections. So now its only fitting, the collective and DJ crew, Been Trill has teamed up with Coca-Cola for a third time to produce an all-new exclusive holiday drop for 2016. The vintage-inspired collection features Coca-Cola’s iconic branding juxtaposed with Been Trill’s modern art aesthetics. The capsule consists of embroidered nylon bombers, varsity jackets, a French terry pullover, and graphic tees. Accessories such as socks, beanies and dad hats are included also.
Prices range from $10 to $100 and all pieces will be available at PacSun locations nationwide as well as online starting on Monday, December 26.
The HEX x Nice Kicks Sneaker Duffel is only available at the San Fran, Los Angeles and Austin locations. No word on the price yet, but we are sure it will hover around the $190 mark. Hit the comment section below and let us know if the collaboration is too similar to the others mention previously or if you are feeling the duffel.
We recently gave you the run down on the Kith Aspen Collection and the new popup shop located in Aspen, Colorado. Now, Common Crowns, will give the details on some of the footwear (sneakers) that will accompany the collection. The Kith Aspen Collection will feature a pair of adidas Consortium x Ronnie Fieg Boost silhouettes - UltraBoost Mid and Response Trail BOOST.
First up is the adidas Consortium x UltraBoost Mid, which features a multicolor Primeknit upper, that includes five different shades of yarn to achieve a seasonal look. The wool-infused knit is also denser than previous Primeknit constructions, allowing the sneaker to trap warmth. No detail was spared in the making of the UltraBOOST Mid, as the sneaker also includes matching Primeknit laces and is is finished off with a matte white heel cup, a full-length Boost sole and white Continental rubber outsole.
Along with the UltraBoost Mid, Kith's adidas Consortium collaboration includes the Response Trail Boost. While the Ultra Boost Mid was intended primarily for lifestyle use, Fieg says the Response Trail Boost was built with function in mind. The trail sneakers feature navy tumbled nubuck overlays combine with mesh and neoprene in the upper. The performance-driven upper is mirrored by its sole unit, as the midsole is equipped with exposed BOOST technology at the heel and BOOST foam in the forefoot and let us not forget the Continental lug outsole.
The adidas Consortium x Kith UltraBOOST Mid and Response Trail BOOST release this Friday, December 23rd, at all Kith shops. The online release will also be December 23rd at midnight 12AM EST on KithNYC.com. The UltraBOOST Mid is priced at $210, and the Trail BOOST is $160.
