Officially, there is a release date for the adidas x Parley Project Collection. The first ever sneaker designed using recycled ocean plastic is set to hit the stores in three new silhouettes; UltraBOOST, UltraBOOST X and UltraBOOST Uncaged.
The inspiration behind the collection comes from the Maldives and its beautiful waters, this particular Parley collection is different from the previous releases. Each shoe uses an average of 11 plastic bottles per pair, from the laces, heel webbing, heel lining, and sock liner covers on all three pairs are made from recycled PET material. This is an ongoing effort that helps contributes to the project's goal of creating one million pairs of adidas UltraBOOST from up-cycled marine plastic.
