The FutureCraft division of adidas started in 2015 with the creation of the first ever 3D printed sole. Now, after revealing a 4D printed sole in 2017, adidas and FutureCraft are ready to official release the sneaker to the public.
Initially adidas released only 300 pairs to friends and family and now Three Stripes has announced that 5,000 pairs would be released by the end of the calendar year of 2017. The general release never took place, and adidas has now announced that the futuristic shoe is dropping next week in New York. Shoppers can expect a lightweight runner featuring a Primeknit upper mounted on a distinctive lattice-like sole unit created through a process called digital light synthesis. Again this will be just as hard to get as the 3D printed version, so be on your "A" game. Retailing for $300, the kicks will be available through Kith, Sneakersnstuff and Packer on January 18.
